Can Data Loader be installed in Silent Mode

We are currently evaluating your product. In order for us to approve any software, we need to be able to deploy out the software silently (unattended) to the users.

Can you let me know if the trial version and the standard / professional version support unattended installs?

 

 

Answer

 

 Yes of course you can install all editions of Forms Data Loader in Silent(unattended) Mode by using "/SILENT" or "/VERYSILENT" parameters.

The "/SILENT" parameter install the software without any prompts but shows the progress dialog
The "/VERYSILENT" parameter install the software without any prompts and does not even shows the progress dialog

For example to install Forms Data Loader Trial Edition in silent mode, please give the following command

C:\downloads\fdlsetuptrial.exe /VERYSILENT

(Please replace "C:\downloads" with the directory where fdlsetuptrial.exe is located)

Similarly to install Forms Data Loader Professional Edition in silent mode, please give the following command

C:\downloads\FDLSetup.exe /VERYSILENT

(Please replace "C:\downloads" with the directory where FDLSetup.exe is located)

Similarly you can also install Forms Data Loader Standard Edition(FDLSetupStd.exe).
