Technical issues with HTML Forms Data Loader trial version

 

 

We are exploring HTML forms data loader tool and might be interested to buy it. I just downloaded the trial version and am trying to use HTML load feature to load data into Oracle R12 forms. However, I am facing certain issues like:

1. The application becomes very slow.
2. I get an error “Please enter he required STATE field” upon uploading data into the supplier entry form (although I am entering a value in the State field)

Regarding your queries,

1. The application becomes very slow.

It should not be slow. However if the network is slow then HTML Forms Data Loader does wait for the page to get loaded before processing the next item. You can also try increasing the speed by adjusting the Speed Slider control in loading option.

2. I get an error “Please enter he required STATE field” upon uploading data into the supplier entry form (although I am entering a value in the State field)

This usually can be addressed by adding time delay column just after "State" field in HDL sheet.

OR

You can also insert an "\{TAB}" keystroke column after the "State" field in HDL sheet so that HDL will send TAB key after populating the State field so that Oracle does fire all events on the state field.
