Keystrokes for Copy & Paste

To paste the data entered in Data Cells, Data Loader uses the Windows paste keys. The default key used is Control V (CTRL+V). If you want you can change it to Shift + INSERT. This might be necessary sometimes when target application doesn't recognize the Ctrl+v keystroke.  Click on the appropriate option to set the preferred paste keys for your load

Grid

To increase or decrease the number of rows and columns in a data loader sheet you can enter the desired values in the provided text boxes. Remember that data loader automatically increases the number of rows as you enter data into the last rows. So it might not be necessary to set these values.

Also please note that you cannot change the number of columns if you are editing Forms Playback (.fdl) file.

Macro Loading options

Wait when target application cursor is in busy state

In macro loading the data loader is not able to know the status of the target application whether it is ready to accept the data or not or it's busy in processing the data. Because of this the load gets haywire and some fields gets skipped. To control this behavior and make the loading as synchronized as possible, you can check this Checkbox.

Usually when the target application is busy in processing the data (i.e. saving a record or fetching data from database) the cursor is changed to Hour glass and data loader can interpret this to know when to send data and when to stop.

Checking this checkbox makes data loader wait till the cursor is in busy state. It's recommended to check this checkbox to control the load

Auto Insert Keystrokes and Shortcuts in New Row

You can check this checkbox to automatically copy the keystrokes and shortcuts commands when entering data into new rows. This takes burden off from the user in preparing the load

Default Time Delay

You can enter a value (0 to 65,000 milliseconds) in this textbox. This is a global wait period data loader waits after processing each cell.
